  • Our main service is pottery retreats for international enthusiasts. To this we add a broad span of activities to make your stay memorable and fun.

  • Fluent English, to begin with, plus short or long stays with lodging – rare enough in Japan. Add our link to Gyokuryu-ji Zen temple in Gero, and things deepen nicely. Master Shibata teaches tea ceremony and kiln building, and we insist on one principle: it should be fun!

  • From Chubu Centrair International Airport (IATA airport code: NGO), take the μ-SKY (myū sakai) Limited Express to Kanayama Station (approximately 24 minutes). From Kanayama Station, transfer to the JR Chūō Main Line bound for Tajimi (approximately 30-38 minutes). Total journey time is around 55-65 minutes. Alternatively, you can travel via Nagoya Station (30 minutes from airport, then 40-50 minutes to Tajimi), though this takes slightly longer.

    Nagoya's Chubu Centrair International Airport serves as central Japan's main international gateway, connecting to major Asian hubs including Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, and more. With approximately 30 international airlines operating at the airport, travelers from Europe, North America, and beyond can reach Nagoya with just one connection, making Tajimi easily accessible for international visitors.

  • Yes! You can buy SIM cards for foreign smartphones at Chubu Centrair International Airport. There are vending machines located on the 2nd floor International Arrival Lobby, right in front of the arrival gate. IMPORTANT: You will not find SIM cards in Tajimi or elsewhere in the countryside in Japan, so be sure to get one here. If you don't, your next best bet is buying one online at http://amazon.jp.
